Visitors, photo-therapy and Halloween.

Pearl Elizabeth Jing Feng Hsu Beairsto was born just before sunrise this morning weighing in at 10lb 6oz and measuring 22in long. She scored a 9 on both Apgar tests and is feeding well.

Winnie is doing very well especially considering how hard it is to deliver a 10lb+ baby.

The beginning of the end...or a new beginning?

Here are some pics from the last little while. I am proud to say I am HUGE and things are going well!

Belly Cast

Yesterday, Jeff and Erica made a cast of my 35 week belly. It was lots of fun but the model of the belly is shockingly big!

Holy Cow I am only 25 weeks - I'm huge already!

Lots of people encourage the mum and dad to be to talk to the child during pregnancy. Seems like a good idea to us, so we describe daily events to the child; ordinary things like what we did at work and the sunspot cycle.

But we want to be careful not to stifle the child with our limited world view. So we figured let's let the kid do some of their own exploration. War and Peace was the baby's first choice but now they're on to some easier fare.


I must admit that I may have pressured baby into choosing Moby Dick as it is a personal favourite of mine. I just hope the baby doesn't misunderstand the first paragraph and expect to be named Ismail.
